ISPO Canada Webinar Series

ISPO Canada invites you to the sixth ISPO 2022 International Webinar, which will be held on June 24, 2022, at 10:00 am Mexico time, the topic of the sixth Webinar is “Diabetes: Considerations in Prosthetics & Orthotics” speakers: Linda Laakso MSc CO(c) and Patrick Reilly BSc CPO (c).

Patrick Reilly BSc CPO (c)
Patrick Reilly is a Certified Prosthetist and Certified Orthotist in the Department of Prosthetics and Orthotics at Hamilton Health Sciences in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree (Kinesiology) from the University of Waterloo in 1990 and a Diploma in Clinical Methods in Prosthetics and Orthotics from George Brown College, Toronto, Canada in 1992 . Patrick was granted Certification in Prosthetics in 1994 and Orthotics in 2000.
His practice includes a wide range of patients requiring Prosthetic and Orthotic treatment with a special interest in people living with diabetes. He has participated as a presenter at Canadian Prosthetic and Orthotic Conferences with a focus on Diabetic Foot complications. He has been a part time, guest lecturer in the George Brown College Clinical Methods in Prosthetics and Orthotics program since 1996. Patrick has served on the Board of Directors for the Ontario Association of Prosthetics and Orthotics and The Canadian Board for Certification of Prosthetists and Orthotists.
Linda Laakso MSc CO(c)
Linda has been a Canadian Board (CBCPO) Certified Orthotist since 1995. She is a graduate of the University of Guelph with an Honours Bachelor of Science in Human Kinetics and a Minor in Biomedical Sciences. Linda graduated with a Master of Science (Rehabilitation) from McMaster University in June 2013 and is an Assistant Clinical Professor (Adjunct) at McMaster University in Rehabilitation Sciences, Faculty of Health Science. She is a Past President of ISPO Canada and is currently the President of Orthotics Prosthetics Canada (OPC).
Linda’s special orthotic interests include management of the diabetic foot and diabetic foot ulcers. She completed the Canadian Association of Wound Care (CAWC) Institute Levels 1-3 for advanced knowledge in wound care and continues to provide care on a daily basis to help people protect and keep their feet from the complications due to diabetes and neuropathy.
